Steps to make a pony out of a box

Supplies you will need to make a pony out of a box
- A box
- Pencil
- Black thick Sharpie marker
- Acrylic paint including white
- Paint brush
- Hot glue gun
- Box cutters
- Yarn
Step 1: With the help of a grown up, hot glue the box top closed
Step 2: Draw the horse design onto the box in pencil and then go over the pencil marks with a permanent marker
Step 3: Paint the box white (except for the areas you will cut away)
The white paint makes the other colors more vivid when you paint over it. You can still see the sharpie lines through the paint!
Step 4: With the help of a grown up, cut out the ears and legs with box cutters
Step 5: Paint your pony!
Get creative! Design your own pony by changing the face and leg markings, body color, and design your own saddle pad.

Step 6: Outline the saddle pad, eyes, and the pony’s head with a Sharpie marker.
Step 7: Cut yarn of similar lengths and lay it across a shorter piece of yarn.
Get creative! Your pony could have a purple forelock and tail, or even rainbow colored!
Tie the shorter piece of yarn around the middle of the yarn bundle. When you pick it up from the center, it becomes a forelock. Repeat this step for the tail. You may want the tail to be longer than the forelock.
Step 8: With the help of a grown up, hot glue the forelock and tail onto the pony.
