Horse Body Clips
Horse & Pony Coat trim Types & Patterns
Horse & Pony Body Clip Patterns Explained
When the weather is cold and horses grow a winter coat, we use special clippers to cut a horse’s hair. We do this to keep then cleaner, and to make it easier to dry off any sweat after a ride. If a horse goes to a lot of horse shows, he may get a full body clip, and if he is just doing occasional work, he may get a strip clip. The longer hair is left on some clip types to help keep the horse warm. If a horse is clipped, he will often wear a blanket to keep him comfortable when the weather is cold out.
